Information Retrieval
You can find the information sources needed in your studies, teaching and research in different ways.
- Library’s own collections: You can browse through the library collections via Juolukka database. From the New Items List you will find information of the latest acquisitions.
- Theses: The theses made by either the students of the Kemi-Tornio UAS and HUMAK or the students of the Vocational College Lappia can be found from the Juolukka database. From Taito database you will find the Bachelor’s Theses made by the students of the Kemi-Tornio UAS - most of them as a full-text version. You can use Taito from the computers that are connected to the school network. Remote use is possible for the students and staff of the Kemi-Tornio UAS. Please read the Remote Access Instructions .
- Electronic material: Electronic material like databases, e-books and e-journals can be searched via Nelli portal . In Nelli you can conduct a search in an individual database or in several databases simultaneously.
- Information sources on the net: The Kemi-Tornio UAS Library has collected a list of web links for your use. If you want to include a web source important to your work on the list, please send us feedback .
- Information retrieval guides: In Guides and Tutorials you will find database manuals and general instructions concerning information retrieval.
