Health Care and Social Services
Health Care offers studies mainly in Finnish. The specialisation for international students is Degree Programme in Nursing, in which the language of the instruction is given in English.
Social Services offers studies which combine thinking, emotion and action. The object is to produce experts for various jobs within the social sector, such as work with the elderly, handicapped, children, teenagers etc. The atmosphere within Social Services community of about 250 students is cozy and personal, but still efficient. The students of Social Services participate actively in the development of their studying conditions. Student tutors do their part in acquainting new students with the studying routines and convey to them their own studying experience. The Social Services student association has its important role in improving the studying conditions and general comfort and enjoyment.
