ANN MARIE LEQUESNE

Ann-Marie LeQuesne makes work which is social and collaborative.
She stages events, which in some way are ‘not real’ and documents
them with photographs. Recent projects include:
Shoot – a re-enactment, at Tate Britain, of a small photograph supposedly
taken at the Execution of the Emperor Maximilian in Mexico in 1867.
The Annual Group Photograph. An ongoing project, in which a group photograph
is taken, once a year, at a different and dramatic location.
Votes for Women – a re-enactment of a suffragette protest, on the
boating lake in Victoria Park, east London. |
